AHOI PAPERBOATS
PAPERBOATS from Leni on Vimeo.
It's always a jump into the deep end to give up something that's become so important during the past 3-4 years. As one door closes though, another one opens. I started Vergissmeinnicht 2009 basically to keep my family informed and to have an alternative to my diary. It then developed to something I never expected it to be. Vergissmeinnicht as it is now, is not really ready for the next step though. That's maybe because besides from Germans, no one can actually understand, pronounce or remember the name. Things had to change.
As I was always better in speaking through photos than words, PAPERBOATS is focused on photography covering fashion and music. Text will be reduced and only appear in English to accessible internationally. My work for FashionDaily.TV/Freshmilk.TV has shown me a lot, and will also accompany me in the future. My main focus will be PAPERBOATS though.
Making this possible involved a lot of people. My biggest thank you goes to the two guys who designed the page, sacrificed their free time and tolerated all my wishes. Without you, I would still google html codes and fight against blogspot. The next in line is my colleague and friend Arturo Martinez who is the man behind the video. Not only did he film it, but edited it afterwards and most importantly always listened to anything I had to share with someone. A final thank you goes to Paul Aidan Perry for making my paper boat dream come true and not ending up in the Müggelsee. To Hanna Schulze for being such a great second camera and support, and to Boj Hoppe for always giving me inspiration whenever I need it.
Set the sails and enjoy the journey!

Paul Mitchell - STYLING
The past 22 years I hardly let anyone touch my hair besides one hairdresser. There might have been one or two exceptions, but usually I'm really picky. The Styling Event by Paul Mitchell was therefore quite a task. A task I should regret though. The invitation stated: a styling event on the occasion of an exhibition about Lexy Hell. Paul Mitchell Stylist Evelyn Strauß worked together with photographer Alexander Mechow, who shot a beautiful series starring tattoo model Lexy Hell. For FashionDaily.TV I also interviewed Lexy (video interview will follow soon) about her look, meeting Jean Paul Gaultier and her tattoo plans. At the end I had really well defined curls, thanks to a Paul Mitchell curl definer and perfect smoky eyes. The look was just too good to not go out anymore. So a spontaneous party rounded of the perfect day. If you follow me on facebook, twitter or instagram, you might have already seen a few snap shots.

PRESS DAYS - Overview
Press Days can be a never ending story of photos. All pictures that haven't made into the posts "favorites" or "buffet check" are now summarized below. To conclude this seasons Press Days and to give you an overview of different agencies and brands, take a look below. I think in my head I already spend three months salary on different must haves. Let's see how many will really end up in my closet. A big thank you also goes to my friend and model Marcel, who accompanied me for the Press Days FashionDaily.TV film and had to change at least 20 times. I know it was a pain in the ass, but thank you so much for making the day a lot more fun.

BUFFET CHECK
As soon as the Press Days are coming up, you can basically skip the weekly trip to the supermarket. Besides presenting the most recent designs and collections, each agency offers an amazing buffet of finger food. You can spend the whole day eating (which you actually do). Too give all these delicious trifles a platform besides the stomach, I tried to take a snap shot at each buffet. My this season's favorite was definitely agency Silk Relations. Unbelievable how many different things they offered. Besides them, I also have to mention Bold PR as they provided my all time favorite: Sushi and Summer Rolls. Don't ask me, why I forgot to shoot that. Maybe I was to busy eating. I hope you aren't hungry when looking at this post, otherwise it will get quite hard now.
